Ashok Leyland said its net loss has narrowed to Rs 479.52 million for the quarter ended June 2014. The company has reported net loss of Rs 1,417.51 million in the same quarter last year.
Net sales for the quarter rose marginally 3.94% to Rs 24,778.04 million, compared with Rs 23,838 million for the prior year period. Earnings per share stood negative at Rs 0.18 compared with negative Rs 0.53 in the same quarter last year.
Ashok Leyland is an Indian automobile manufacturing company based in Chennai, India. It is the 2nd largest commercial vehicle manufacturers in India, 4th largest manufacturer of buses in the world and 16th largest manufacturer of trucks globally.
