G M Breweries said a sharp drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 13.64% to Rs 45.60 million. The company reported profit of Rs 52.80 million in the same quarter previous year. Net sales for the quarter rose 13.25% to Rs 756.60 million, compared with Rs 668 million for the prior year period. The company is engaged in the activities of manufacturing and marketing of alcoholic beverages; such as country liquor (CL) and Indian made foreign liquor (IMFL).
