Atul announced a substantial rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 47.79% to Rs 597.80 million from Rs 404.50 million in the same quarter previous year. Net sales for the quarter rose 25.22% to Rs 6,470.80 million, compared with Rs 5,168 million for the prior year period. Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 20.15, registering 47.73% growth over previous year period.

Atul was incorporated in the year 1947. The company was formerly known as Atul Products and was founded by Kasturbhai Lalbhai. The company's business interest includes manufacturing dyes and dye intermediates, agro-chemicals, aromatic like para-anisaldehyde, epoxy resins and pharma intermediates.
