Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading IT services, consulting and business solutions firm, today announced a new partnership with MapR Technologies, Inc., provider of the top-ranked distribution for Apache Hadoop, to help enterprise customers easily and rapidly capture critical big data insights.

The partnership's new big data offerings will shift the IT cost curve and allow companies to strategically reimaging their business models.

Shares of the company gained Rs 66.75, or 2.71%, to settle at Rs 2,531.05. The total volume of shares traded was 92,280 at the BSE (Tuesday).
