Shares of telecom services providers such as Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular and Reliance Communications (RCom) are trading higher on Tuesday after the telecom regulator authority of India (TRAI) recommended allowing sharing of all categories of airwaves held by operators, the move could help companies to reduce cost of mobile services.
Bharti Airtel shares climbed Rs 15.85, or 4.7%, to trade at Rs 352.90. The total volume of shares traded was 362,393 at the BSE (10.52 a.m., Tuesday).
Shares of Idea Cellular gained Rs 6.15, or 4.4%, to trade at Rs 145.90. The total volume of shares traded was 2,219,590 at the BSE (10.52 a.m., Tuesday).
Shares of Reliance Communications gained Rs 3.5, or 2.69%, to trade at Rs 133.85. The total volume of shares traded was 581,993 at the BSE (10.53 a.m., Tuesday).
