KEC International bags orders worth Rs 2.46 bn

KEC International shares gained on Friday after the company has secured new orders of Rs 2.46 billion in its transmission & distribution and cables businesses.

In transmission & distribution business the company has secured orders in India, the Americas, Philippines and Ghana amounting to Rs 1.79 billion.

In cables business the company has secured orders for the supply of power and telecom cables. The total value of these orders if Rs 670 million (0.67 billion).

Shares of the company are trading at Rs 132.15, up Rs 1.7, or 1.30% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday at 1:59 p.m.

The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 133.90 and low of Rs 127.90. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 138,996.
