Cipla gains after acquiring 75% stake in Mabpharm

Cipla shares gained on Friday after the company has acquired additional 75% stake in Mabpharm through its wholly owned subsidiary Meditab Specialities. The company was earlier holding 25% stake in Mabpharm. Consequent to the acquisition of the aforesaid stake, Mabpharm has now become 100% subsidiary of the company. Shares of the company are trading at Rs 441.15, up Rs 4, or 0.92% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday at 9:58 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 443.60 and low of Rs 439.25. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 33,653.
