Sonata Software announced that as part of its DESSC (Digital Energy and Sustainability Solutions Campaign) Membership, it has invested in building a stakeholder engagement and innovation portal for The Chesapeake Conservancy which would enable dynamic and sophisticated interactions with stakeholders.

The Chesapeake Conservancy's mission is to strengthen the connection between people and the watershed, conserve the landscapes and special places that sustain the Chesapeake's unique natural and cultural resources, and encourage the exploration and celebration of the Chesapeake as a national treasure.

Ankush Patel, head of sales, Americas, Sonata Software said, "As a global company, Sonata recognizes the importance of using our technology expertise to contribute to meaningful efforts that have an impact on solving local Sustainability challenges. Additionally, we believe that water is rapidly becoming a major concern in the US and around the world and appreciate the opportunity to be able to partner with Chesapeake Conservancy to address this critical issue as a DESSC member." 

Shares of the company gained Rs 0.70, or 0.93%, to trade at Rs 76.25 at the BSE (1.47 p.m., Thursday).
