HCL Infosystems shares jumped on Tuesday after the company and Lenovo India announced their strategic alliance. The company said that it would strengthen Lenovo's consumer retail and commercial business by leveraging HCL Infosystems' strong sales, distribution and after-sales support network.
Under this partnership, HCL Infosystems will sell and support Lenovo's entire portfolio of PCs and Tablets, as well as enhance their existing cooperation in the distribution of tablets, through its wholly owned subsidiary; Digilife Distribution and Marketing Services (DDMS), the distribution arm of the company with an exhaustive last mile connect and support in rural markets and urban markets across India.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 61.35, down Rs 2.40, or 4.07% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday at 2:22 p.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 62.15 and low of Rs 59.75. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 303,628.
