Rupee strengthens against dollar to settle at 59.94

Indian rupee has appreciated on Friday against US dollar. Indian currency gained 27 paise or 0.45% against dollar to settle at 59.94.

Rupee has witnessed a high of 59.94 and a low of 60.31. Its 52-week range was 58.34-68.84.

The Dollar index, a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of foreign currencies, declined 0.01% to settle at 80.11.
