Coal India (CIL), an Indian state-controlled coal mining company, has achieved 34.54 million tons of coal production for June 2014, which was 94% of target production of 36.84 million tons. 
 
CIL achieved actual offtake of 38.29 million tons for June 2014, which was 91% of target production of 42.01 million tons for June 2014.

Shares of the company gained Rs 6.75, or 1.75%, to trade at Rs 391.70 at the BSE (1.54 p.m., Wednesday).
