Ashok Leyland shares gained on Wednesday after it has reported an increase of 7% in sales in June 2014. It registered sales of 7,452 units as against 6,970 units sold in the same period of last year.
The company experienced a rise of 17% in its M&HCV products segment to 5,542 units in June. While the company's large commercial vehicle witnessed a drop of 15% to 1,910 units in June.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 37.30, up Rs 0.55, or 1.50% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday at 10:51 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 38.10 and low of Rs 37.30. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 1,172,816.
