Larsen & Toubro (L&T), an engineering and construction conglomerate, announced Wednesday L&T Construction has won new orders worth Rs 20.02 billion across various business segments in June 2014.
The heavy civil infrastructure business has bagged orders worth Rs 15.47 billion. The order has been bagged from the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation for the design and construction of a cable stayed bridge across river Mandovi at Panaji.
The power transmission business has bagged orders worth Rs 3.92 billion in both domestic and international markets. The domestic order is from the Bihar State Power Transmission Company for a turnkey construction of a new 220/132 kV transmission line between Kanti-Motipur-Muzaffarpur-Bhikanpura in Bihar.
Additional orders have also been received from an ongoing job of water & renewable energy business, it added.
Shares of the company gained Rs 24.55, or 1.42%, to trade at Rs 1,749.90. The total volume of shares traded was 51,526 at the BSE (10.47 a.m., Wednesday).
