PNC Infratech bags Rs 4.41 bn contract

PNC Infratech has been awarded the contract for Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India sponsored project of Rehabilitation & Upgradation of the 80 Km long road stretch of Sonauli - Gorakhapur Section of National Highway 29 E in Uttar Pradesh on EPC basis by UP PWD. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 4.41 billion and it is slated to be completed in two years.
 
Yogesh Jain, MD, PNC Infratech said, ''This is a strategically important National Highway Development Project, as it connects the Indo-Nepal border at Sonauli with Gorakhpur. Given the location and terrain, this is a logistically and topographically challenging project and we would endeavour to complete the project within the stipulated time maintaining high quality standards.''
 
With this project, the current EPC order book of PNC Infratech stands in excess of Rs 30 billion.
