Suzlon Energy announced that its board of directors has approved the implementation of Special Employee Stock Option Plan 2014 (Special ESOP 2014) and has granted 45 million options to the eligible employees and its subsidiaries in terms of Special ESOP 2014.

Suzlon Energy is the world's fifth largest wind turbine supplier.

Shares of the company gained Rs 0.60, or 2%, to settle at Rs 30.55. The total volume of shares traded was 4,966,959 at the BSE (Tuesday).
