IT stocks climb on Fed's positive outlook, rate decision

IT stocks gained on Thursday  on the US Federal Reserve's positive assessment of the world's largest economy. The Fed also retained its accommodative monetary policy.

BSE IT index gained by 1.15% on Thursday. Shares of Mindtree climbed with gain of 3.58%, followed by KPIT (2.17%), Infosys (1.47%), Wipro (1.37%), HCL Tech (0.99%), TCS (0.84%) and Tech Mahindra (0.63%).
