Surana Ventures announced that the board of directors has decided to change the name of the company from Surana Ventures to Surana Solar, to reflect the solar business of the company. The Ministry of Corporation Affairs has given approval for the reservation of the above said name.

Surana Ventures has set up solar power project under EPC for its associated companies. Surana Telecom and Power is successfully operating 5 MW Solar Power Plant project in Gujarat. And other project of 5 MW is operating under Bhagyanager India in Telengana. Two more 5 MW of solar power projects are under execution by associate companies.

Shares of the company declined Rs 0.6, or 2.19%, to trade at Rs 26.75. The total volume of shares traded was 10,865 at the BSE (12.49 p.m., Friday).
