Ashok Leyland shares dropped on Tuesday after the company has reported a fall of 9% in sales in May 2014 to 6,632 units as against 7,267 units sold in the same period of last year.
The company experienced a fall of 1% in its M&HCV products segment to 4,884 units in May. While the company's large commercial vehicle witnessed a drop of 25% to 1,748 units in May.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 32.60, down Rs 0.25, or 0.76% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday at 9:46 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 33.10 and low of Rs 32.45. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 287,666.
In the earlier session, the shares rose 1.7%, or Rs 0.55, at Rs 32.85.
Currently, the stock is trading down 8.81% from its 52-week high of Rs 35.75 and above 175.8% over the 52-week low of Rs 11.82.
