Ashok Leyland, the commercial vehicle manufacturer, has reported a fall of 9% in sales in May 2014 to 6,632 units as against 7,267 units sold in the same period of last year.
 
The company experienced a fall of 1% in its M&HCV products segment to 4,884 units in May.
 
While the company's large commercial vehicle witnessed a drop of 25% to 1,748 units in May.

Shares of the company gained Rs 0.6, or 1.86%, to settle at Rs 32.90. The total volume of shares traded was 1,420,079 at the BSE (Monday).
