Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) reported a sharp drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 15.19% to Rs 40,683.70 million from Rs 47,972.90 million in the same quarter last year.
Net sales for the quarter rose 12.76% to Rs 747,719.60 million, compared with Rs 663,107 million for the prior year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 56.26, registering 15.21% decline over previous year period.
