Sun Pharmaceutical Industries disclosed a sharp rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 2.76 times to Rs 1,629.50 million from Rs 590.30 million in the same quarter last year.
Net sales for the quarter declined marginally 0.59% to Rs 7,764.30 million, compared with Rs 7,810.70 million for the prior year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 0.79, registering 2.72 times growth over previous year period.
