Hero Motocorp shares slipped on Thursday after the company announced a decline in standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 2014.
During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 3.45% to Rs 5,544.30 million from Rs 5,742.30 million in the same quarter previous year.
Net sales for the quarter rose 5.98% to Rs 65,129.60 million, compared with Rs 61,458 million for the prior year period.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 2,319.00, down Rs 31.3, or 1.33% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday at 9:44 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 2,351.90 and low of Rs 2,268.90. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 8,014.
In the earlier session, the shares climbed 2.08%, or Rs 47.9, at Rs 2,350.30.
Currently, the stock is trading down 16.43% from its 52-week high of Rs 2,775.05 and above 48.09% over the 52-week low of Rs 1,565.95.
