Thermax shares fell on Wednesday after it reported a marginal decline in standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 8.16% to Rs 1,059.07 million from Rs 1,153.23 million in the same quarter last year.
Net sales for the quarter declined 5.83% to Rs 13,825.27 million, compared with Rs 14,681.96 million for the prior year period.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 885.00, down Rs 22.85, or 2.52% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday at 10:04 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 900.65 and low of Rs 885.00. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 1,417.
In the earlier session, the shares fell 0.2%, or Rs 1.85, at Rs 907.85.
Currently, the stock is trading down 5.95% from its 52-week high of Rs 941.00 and above 68.25% over the 52-week low of Rs 526.
