Jet Airways (India) shares fell sharply on Wednesday as company's net loss for the quarter ended March 2014 has widened to Rs 21,535.70 million. It reported a net loss of Rs 4,955.30 million in the same quarter last year.
Net sales for the quarter rose 16.43% to Rs 45,661.70 million, compared with Rs 39,219 million for the prior year period.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 251.65, down Rs 16.5, or 6.15% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday at 9:34 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 254.00 and low of Rs 243.00. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 309,376.
In the earlier session, the shares fell 3.53%, or Rs 9.8, at Rs 268.15.
Currently, the stock is trading down 55.21% from its 52-week high of Rs 561.80 and above 19.69% over the 52-week low of Rs 210.25.
