Ravi Shankar Prasad, who is inducted as Law and Telecom minister in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cabinet said, the first priority will be to set things right. ''We are aware of the problems of the telecom ministry.''
''We will work on to restore investor's confidence. We also focus on improving service standards. Assure that 100% FDI must be quickened and must be facilitated,'' said Ravi Shankar Prasad.
''Establishing a broadband highway will be a focus area. New government shall act in a transparent and fair manner. Decision-making will be fair. We need to develop a softer and more stable regulatory environment,'' he said.
''Though cop rivalry a concern, we need to assure a good governance. IT is an area of great growth in India. Our first priority will be to get IT initiative a big boost,'' Prasad added.
