GAIL (India) disclosed a sharp rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 57.24% to Rs 9,720.30 million from Rs 6,181.80 million in the same quarter last year.
Net sales for the quarter rose 16.81% to Rs 145,671.60 million, compared with Rs 124,707 million for the prior year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 7.66, registering 57.29% growth over previous year period.
