Colgate Palmolive (India) announced that the commercial production of toothpaste has commenced on May 21, 2014 at company's new manufacturing facility set up at Sanand, Gujarat.

Further, the company said that in the month of March 2014, the new manufacturing facility was commissioned and fully tested.

In the initial phase, the company intends to manufacture 15,000 MTs toothpaste from this manufacturing facility.

Shares of the company gained Rs 14.05, or 1.03%, to trade at Rs 1,376.30. The total volume of shares traded was 8,483 at the BSE (12.41 p.m., Friday).
