IRB Infrastructure Developers said a steep drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 27.73% to Rs 1,092.32 million from Rs 1,511.37 million in the same quarter last year.
Net sales for the quarter declined 6.90% to Rs 8,828.70 million, compared with Rs 9,482.73 million for the prior year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 3.29, registering 27.69% decline over previous year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 3.15, or 1.72%, to settle at Rs 186.70. The total volume of shares traded was 1,494,467 at the BSE (Thursday).
