Wipro, a leading global information technology, consulting, and outsourcing company, announced that it has been selected by Corning Incorporated, a world leader in specialty glass and ceramics, to provide a multi-year information technology infrastructure program.
Through this strategic collaboration, Wipro will make Corning's information technology services more resilient to market volatility, and enhance performance and operational efficiency. The solution will be delivered as a multi-year managed service from Wipro's global delivery and data centers.

Shares of the company gained Rs 10.8, or 2.24%, to trade at Rs 492.30. The total volume of shares traded was 253,979 at the BSE (3.12 p.m., Tuesday).
