Greaves Cotton announced a substantial rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 33.96% to Rs 515.60 million from Rs 384.90 million in the same quarter last year.
Net sales for the quarter declined 12.23% to Rs 4,351.80 million, compared with Rs 4,958.00 million for the prior year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 2.11, registering 33.54% growth over previous year period.
