The international crude oil price of Indian basket decreased 0.25% to USD 106.81 a barrel (bbl) on Apr. 23, 2014 as against USD 106.88 a bbl on previous trading day of Apr. 22, 2014.

In rupee terms also, the price of Indian basket increased to Rs 6,522.89 a bbl on Apr. 23, 2014 as compared to Rs 6,500.83 a bbl on Apr. 22, 2014. This was due to increase in price in dollar terms and rupee depreciation.

Rupee closed weaker at Rs 61.07 a USD on Apr. 23, 2014 as against Rs 60.71 a USD on Apr. 22, 2014.
