Crude oil prices closed higher in futures market on Thursday. Light sweet crude oil (WTI) futures rose 0.50 dollar or 0.49 percent to close at USD 101.94 a barrel at the New York-based commodity exchange NYMEX. Apr-2014 futures witnessed a high of 102.35 dollars and a low of 101.40 dollars after opening at USD 101.54 a barrel. The contract has recorded volume of 202,278.
Brent crude oil futures went up 1.22 dollar or 1.12 percent to close at USD 110.33 a barrel at NYMEX. Apr-2014 futures recorded a high of 110.63 dollars and a low of 109.09 dollars after opening at USD 109.22 a barrel. The contract has recorded volume of 6,422. WTI-Brent spread was stable on 41804.
In refined products, RBOB gasoline futures remained flat at 3.09 a gallon at the NYMEX. Apr-2014 futures recorded a high of 3.11 dollars and a low of 3.08 dollars after opening at USD 3.10 a gallon. The contract has recorded volume of 53,951.
In refined products, RBOB heating oil futures remained flat at 3.01 a gallon at the NYMEX. Apr-2014 futures recorded a high of 3.02 dollars and a low of 2.98 dollars after opening at USD 2.98 a gallon. The contract has recorded volume of 29,325.
