Oil Country Tubular said a sharp rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 65.48 times to Rs 149.68 million from Rs 2.29 million in the same quarter last year.
Net sales for the quarter declined 26.80% to Rs 648.39 million, compared with Rs 885.83 million for the prior year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 3.37, registering 67.40 times growth over previous year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 1.6, or 3.68%, to trade at Rs 45.05. The total volume of shares traded was 50,055 at the BSE (3.44 p.m., Wednesday).
