Sterlite Technologies, a provider of transmission solutions, announced a milestone technology development in telecommunication space. Sterlite's Center of Excellence at Aurangabad, India has successfully established and tested multi-tera bit transmission over long haul network.
A successful Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) test transmission of 80 wavelength channels operating at 128 Gbit/s each spaced at 50 GHz over 1840 km of Sterlite's G.652.D OH-LITE fiber has been demonstrated for the first time in India.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 31.70, up Rs 0.6, or 1.93% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday at 12 noon.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 32.40 and low of Rs 31.15. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 287,976.
In the earlier session, the shares gained 5.07%, or Rs 1.5, at Rs 31.10. Currently, the stock is trading down 4.52% from its 52-week high of Rs 33.20 and above 101.27% over the 52-week low of Rs 15.75.
