Tata Power Company (Tata Power), one of India's largest integrated power companies, closed subscription to its rights issue on Apr. 15, 2014.
Tata Power, had offered up to 33,22,30,130 equity shares of face value of Rs 1 each at a price of Rs 60 a equity share for an amount aggregating to Rs 19.93 billion on a rights basis to the existing shareholders. The issue has been oversubscribed by 1.96 times, wherein Tata Power collected an amount of Rs 39.16 billion on application.
JM Financial Institutional Securities, BNP Paribas, HSBC Securities & Capital Markets (India) Private, Kotak Mahindra Capital Company and SBI Capital Markets were the lead managers to the issue.
Based on provisional certificates provided by the escrow collection banks to the issue and the final certificate issued by the self certified syndicate banks.
Shares of the company declined Rs 0.25, or 0.3%, to settle at Rs 83.45. The total volume of shares traded was 374,553 at the BSE (Monday).
