Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) have reduced shareholding in Steel Authority Of India (SAIL), leading state-run steel maker.FIIs' shareholding decreased to 5.85% at the end of March 2014 quarter from 6.31% as on Dec. 31, 2013.
On the other hand, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) have raised shareholding in the company to 10.94% at the end of March 2014 quarter from 10.61% as on Dec. 31, 2013.
Under DII, insurance companies held maximum stake of 7.09%, followed by financial institutions / banks (3.14% stake) and mutual funds / UTI (0.71% stake).
Meanwhile, promoter and promoter group shareholding was unchanged at 80% at the end of March 2014 quarter.
