Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) have reduced shareholding in Tata Chemicals. FIIs shareholding decreased 39 basis points to 22% at the end of March 2014 quarter from 22.39% as on Dec. 31, 2013.
On the other hand, domestic institutional investors' (DIIs) shareholding went up to 22.34% at the end of March 2014 quarter from 22.04% as on Dec. 31, 2013.
Under DIIs, Insurance companies held maximum stake of 17.52%, followed by mutual funds / UTI (4.49% stake), financial institutions / banks (0.30% stake) and central government / state government (0.03% stake).
Meanwhile, promoter and promoter group shareholding was unchanged at 31.06% at the end of March 2014 quarter.
Shares of the company gained Rs 0.35, or 0.12%, to trade at Rs 281.05. The total volume of shares traded was 26,750 at the BSE (1.37 p.m., Thursday).
