JSW Steel, an integrated steel manufacturer, climbed on Thursday after it acquired further equity stake in Vallabh Tinplate, raising its shareholding to 50%.
Earlier on Apr. 8, 2014, the company acquired 26% equity stake in Vallabh Tinplate.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 1,037.50, up Rs 23, or 2.27% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday at 11:15 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 1,039.70 and low of Rs 1,007. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 36,302.
In the earlier session, the shares fell 0.01%, or Rs 0.10, at Rs 1,014.50. Currently, the stock is trading down 4.33% from its 52-week high of Rs 1,084.50 and above 129.79% over the 52-week low of Rs 451.50.
