Bharat Seats announced a steep drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 30.08% to Rs 17.29 million from Rs 24.73 million in the same quarter previous year.
Net sales for the quarter declined marginally 1.09% to Rs 1,552.52 million, compared with Rs 1,569.63 million for the prior year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 0.55, registering 30.38% decline over previous year period.

Shares of the company declined Rs 1.15, or 6.39%, to settle at Rs 16.85. The total volume of shares traded was 31,473 at the BSE (Wednesday).
