JSW Steel has acquired further equity stake in Vallabh Tinplate, raising its shareholding to 50%.

Earlier on Apr. 8, 2014, the company acquired 26% equity stake in Vallabh Tinplate.

On Feb. 21, 2014 the company said that, subject to customary closing conditions and third party consents, intends to acquire 26% equity stake in VTPL immediately and increase it to 50% in due course.

Shares of the company declined Rs 0.1, or 0.01%, to settle at Rs 1,014.50. The total volume of shares traded was 112,274 at the BSE (Wednesday).
