OMC's diesel under-recovery drops 7.42% to Rs 5.49 a litre

Oil marketing companies' (OMCs') under-recovery on high speed diesel (HSD) decreased 7.42% to Rs 5.49 a litre applicable for second fortnight of Apr. 16, 2014. This was Rs 5.93 a litre during first fortnight of April 2014 w.e.f. Apr. 1, 2014.

In the case of PDS Kerosene and Domestic LPG the under-recoveries for the month of April 2014 remained same at Rs 34.43 a litre and Rs 506.06 a cylinder respectively.

OMCs, effective Apr. 16, 2014, are now incurring combined daily under-recovery of about Rs 3.37 billion on the sale of diesel, PDS kerosene and domestic LPG. This is lower than Rs 3.42 billion daily under-recoveries during previous fortnight effective Apr. 1, 2014.

Further, the OMCs reported a total of Rs 1,006.32 billion as under-recoveries during first nine months of 2013-14 (April-December) on sale of diesel, PDS kerosene and domestic LPG.
