Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have raised shareholding in HCL Technologies, the leading software development company.
FIIs shareholding increased 54 basis points to 28.59% at the end of March 2014 quarter from 28.05% as on Dec. 31, 2013.
On the other hand, domestic institutional investors' (DIIs) shareholding went down to 3.69% at the end of March 2014 quarter from 4.20% as on Dec. 31, 2013.
Under DIIs, mutual funds / UTI held maximum stake of 2.43%, followed by insurance companies (1.21% stake) and financial institutions / banks (0.05% stake).
Meanwhile, promoter and promoter group shareholding went down to 61.69% at the end of March 2014 quarter from 61.75% as on Dec. 31, 2013.
Shares of the company gained Rs 23.9, or 1.71%, to settle at Rs 1,424.45. The total volume of shares traded was 88,848 at the BSE (Tuesday).
