Mastek, specialised in building, re-engineering, maintaining and managing enterprise grade business applications, announced that Mastek UK, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company has been appointed by Monitor, the Health Sector Regulator for England to develop a data management platform. The selection was made through the Government’s G-Cloud service following a rigorous procurement process.
The data management platform to be developed using Agile working practices will be a key enabler in ensuring that Monitor can make the health sector work in the interest of patients. Designed to deliver data analysis, data comparison and benchmarking, the data management platform will be internally by Monitor's economists, analysts and regulatory staff.
The platform will support Monitor in its role to make sure the money taxpayers spned on the NHS delivers as much as possible for patients.
Commenting on the contract awarded, Prahlad Koti, vice president- Government & health, Mastek said, ''Our rich heritage in delivering business intelligence solutions is enhanced with an in-depth knowledge of health data, Mastek has developed strong working relationships with the healthcare sector deploying several applications for the NHS including the secondary user service and upgrades to their annual payment by results application.''
Shares of the company declined Rs 0.55, or 0.27%, to trade at Rs 200.50. The total volume of shares traded was 10,446 at the BSE (12.17 p.m., Tuesday).
