Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have raised shareholding in Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, the leading pharmaceutical company.
FIIs shareholding increased 2 basis points to 22.51% at the end of March 2014 quarter from 22.49% as on Dec. 31, 2013.
On the other hand, domestic institutional investors' (DIIs) shareholding went down to 5.54% at the end of March 2014 quarter from 5.74% as on Dec. 31, 2013.
Under DIIs, insurance companies held maximum stake of 2.51%, followed by financial institutions / banks (1.77% stake), mutual funds / UTI (1.20% stake) and central government / state government (s) (0.06% stake).
Meanwhile, promoter and promoter group shareholding was unchanged at 63.65% at the end of March 2014 quarter.
Shares of the company declined Rs 8.1, or 1.29%, to trade at Rs 619.65. The total volume of shares traded was 261,493 at the BSE (10.51 a.m., Tuesday).
