Zee Entertainment Enterprises, one of the largest Indian media and entertainment companies, announced that Zee Tuner and Star Den Media Services to discontinue the distribution of their channels through the three old distribution joint venture Media Pro Enterprises India, pursuant to the change in regulation regarding aggregators.
TRAI's Telecommunication Interconnection Addressable Regulation, 2014 dated Feb. 10, 2014, does not allow aggregators to bundle channels of multiple broadcasters in one bouquet.
Going forward, ZEE and Star would set up their independent Affiliate Sales team for their respective channels.
Shares of the company declined Rs 3.2, or 1.15%, to settle at Rs 275.05. The total volume of shares traded was 94,081 at the BSE (Friday).
