Edelweiss Financial Services said that its share allotment committee of the board of directors has allotted 10,500 equity shares of the face value of Rs 1 each under Edelweiss Employee Stock Option Scheme (ESOS) of the company.

The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till Apr. 09, 2014, falling 5.95% compared with the Sensex's 3.57% rise.

It underperformed the market in past one quarter, gaining 1.01% as against 9.60% rise in the Sensex.

Shares of the company gained Rs 1.7, or 5.6%, to trade at Rs 32.05. The total volume of shares traded was 155,621 at the BSE (10.48 a.m., Thursday).
