Gold, silver futures settle down ahead of Fed minutes

Gold and silver futures declined on Monday. The benchmark, S&P GSCI Precious Metals dropped 0.37% to settle at 1,732.9.

Gold futures for June 2014 settlement fell USD 5.20, or 0.4% to USD 1,298.30 per troy ounce at the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Meanwhile, Comex Silver futures for May 2014 settlement dropped 0.2% to USD 19.91 per troy ounce.
