Gulf Oil Int'l acquires additional 4.99% shares in Gulf Oil Corp

Gulf Oil Corporation announced that the company's promoter, Gulf Oil International (Mauritius) (GOIMI) has recently acquired additional shares to the extent of 4.99%, increasing their shareholding in the company to 54.96%.

With this, the company becomes subsidiary of GOIMI.

The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till Apr. 04, 2014, falling 3.30% compared with the Sensex's 5.42% rise. It outperformed the market in past one quarter, gaining 8.52% as against 7.23% rise in the Sensex.

Shares of the company gained Rs 3.85, or 3.4%, to settle at Rs 117. The total volume of shares traded was 123,503 at the BSE (Monday).
