Amara Raja Batteries announced that its audit committee and the board approved the appointment of S. V. Raghavendra as chief financial officer, effective from Apr. 08, 2014.

Further, the board noted that K. Suresh, relinquished his office as chief financial officer and shall assume responsibilities as president - finance of the company in the areas of strategic planning, project financing and future business opportunities etc effective from Apr. 08, 2014.

Shares of the company gained Rs 7.35, or 1.87%, to settle at Rs 400.70. The total volume of shares traded was 12,637 at the BSE (Monday).
