Wockhardt, one of the leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology company, announced that 8,000 equity shares of face value of Rs 5 each of the company are allotted to the independent directors of the company pursuant to exercise of stock options.

The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till Apr. 04, 2014, falling 38.79% compared with the Sensex's 5.42% rise. It underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 46.66% as against 7.23% rise in the Sensex.

Shares of the company declined Rs 6.35, or 1.05%, to settle at Rs 600.55. The total volume of shares traded was 327,428 at the BSE (Monday).
